Show your friends that you can predict the future with the magic clock trick. This magic trick works itself, but will cause your friends to be very impressed with your magic abilities.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose what card you would like to predict. Write the name of the card, for instance the King of Hearts, on a piece of paper and fold it up. Put the piece of paper off to the side.

  2. Step 2

Place the chosen card in the number 13 position from the top of the deck when the cards are sitting face up. Place the cards in the deck face up on the table.

  3. Step 3

Ask your friend to think of his favorite hour of the day, 1 through 12, without telling you the number. Tell him to count out the number of cards that he has chosen, starting from the top of the deck, and put them in his pocket where you can't see them after you turn your back.

  4. Step 4

Count off 12 cards from the deck by laying them on the table 1 by 1, one on top of the other. This will reverse the order of the cards. Put the rest of the cards in the deck to the side.

  5. Step 5

Arrange the 12 cards in a circle just like the hours of a clock starting with 1 o'clock. Place the folded piece of paper with the prediction on it in the middle of the clock.

  6. Step 6

Count around the circle clockwise (in your head) starting with 1 o'clock until you get to your card. If your chosen card is number 5 around the circle (or 5 o'clock) you know your friend has chosen 5 o'clock. Ask him if this was the time he chose, which it was.

  7. Step 7

Now count around to 5 o'clock, which will be your chosen card. Have your friend unfold the piece of paper and read what it says. He will read the chosen card, which will show that you can, in fact, predict the future.
