One thing a person must do when they first open a new deck of cards is shuffle them. It is not always an easy task to shuffle a new deck of cards, because there are so many ways of doing it. Here are a few basic steps on how to farrow shuffle a deck of cards.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Remove the new deck of cards from the box and set the box to the side.

  2. Step 2

Grab the deck of cards with your two middle fingers on the outside edge of the cards. Place your thumbs on the inside edge of the cards (or the edge closest to your body).

  3. Step 3

Split the deck carefully into 2 equal sides, while retaining the deck within your fingers. You should have half the deck in your right hand and half the deck in your left hand.

  4. Step 4

Pinch the cards tightly with the middle finger and the thumbs of each hand to allow pressure on the cards so that they fan open a bit and bring both open edges of the cards together.

  5. Step 5

Push each end of the cards into one another while slightly jiggling the cards back and forth. The cards should smoothly fit within one another as your jiggle them together. The better you get at performing this shuffle, the less jingle motion you will need to get the cards to come together.

  6. Step 6

Slide all of the cards together back into one deck. Repeat all of the steps as needed.
