How to Perform the Twin Fan One-Handed Card Trick

The Twin Fan card trick is performed just like the One-Handed Fan trick except that you have a fan in each hand. You must be able to do the one-handed version before moving on to the twin fan one.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Deck of cards

1. Place a key card in the middle of the deck to mark half of the deck. This will allow you to have exactly 26 cards in each hand.

2. Hold the deck in one hand with your thumb on the top of the cards and your fingers on the bottom and the faces of the cards toward you.

3. Apply pressure on the back of the deck with your pointer finger and hold the deck together with the fingers of your other hand while you thumb through the deck to find your key card.

4. Drop the other half of the deck into your other hand and flip it so that both halves have their faces towards one another while in each hand.

5. Hold each deck with the pinky and pointer fingers on the sides of the cards to hold them in place, keep the middle two fingers on the back of the cards and the thumb on the top of the cards.

6. Move your thumb from the top of the cards to the back, pinching the cards between your two fingers and your thumb. Release your pointer and pinky so the cards can fan out.

7. Push the cards into a fan with the thumbs of both hands.

Tips & Warnings

• Fanning cards takes a lot of practice to get right. You want the fans to have all the numbers on the cards visible to your audience and evenly spaced.
• Don't get discouraged practicing this trick. With practice you will soon be able to do this trick so that it looks effortless.
