Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Get the first piece of equipment that you must have for bullet casting. Precision melting pots come in either electric or gas. Gas melting pots usually come in the form of a furnace. This keeps your lead melted so that you're able to cast your bullets.
Step2
Find a good ladle as an important piece of equipment for bullet casting. Your ladle is used to pour the melted lead into your bullet molds. These ladles need to be well-insulated on the handle end so that you do not get burned.
Step3
Decide what type of molds you need for bullet casting. There are single bullet molds or multi-bullet molds. Check to see that you are getting the correct caliber of mold for the size bullets you want to cast. You must also get a block of wood to knock the bullets out of your mold once they've been cast. The wood prevents damage occurring to your mold.
Step4
Acquire the right type of safety equipment for bullet casting. A fire extinguisher is a must when you are melting lead. Always wear safety glasses to protect your eyesight. Splattering lead can damage or destroy your eyes. Wear a long sleeve shirt. It's better to burn a shirt than to have hot lead penetrating the skin on your arms.
