One of the toughest tricks to pull off with your yo-yo is the Jamaican yo-yo trick. Be patient as you learn the steps, and then practice until you have completely mastered the maneuver and you'll impress everyone who sees it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Yo-yo
  1. Step 1

Hold your yo-yo in a still position. Drop it down on the string and stop it from spinning.

  2. Step 2

Place your yo-yo hand out and flat. Keep your hand still. With your free hand, grab the front of the string with three fingers. Pull the string up slowly.

  3. Step 3

Pull up some string with a few fingers on your throw hand. Grab the string and pull it up to make a sideways triangle.

  4. Step 4

Twist your non-throw hand backwards so that the triangle flips. Now reach down for the string again in the same fashion. You now have a cross in the middle of your yo-yo trick.

  5. Step 5

Move your pinky down on your throw hand and grab the last piece of string, which closes off the design. Your yo-yo looks like a Jamaican flag.
