How to Drape a Scarf Over Your Head

Scarves can be a great fashion accessory. One way to use scarves or any fabric to accentuate your outfit is to drape it over your head. Learn how to use a head scarf to fit your personality and style.

Instructions

1. Select a size, fabric, color and pattern based on this style and the clothing you will wear. Try different options until you find the best fit.

2. Fold the scarf into a triangle shape, and lay it on the top of your head. Set the long edge of the triangle across your forehead with the point at the back of your neck.

3. Hold the two front triangle edges out to the sides and cross them behind. Tie these two ends together in a knot, leaving the last triangle point still at the back of your neck.

Tips & Warnings

• Another easy way to wear a head scarf if to fold it into a thin strip. Wrap it behind your ears and tie it at the nape of your neck with the ends hanging free or you could tuck them back up under the band.
