Instructions

    • 1

Season your cast iron grill pan by applying a liberal coating of vegetable oil. Wipe thoroughly with a paper towel to remove excess oil and make the grill pan easier to clean.

    • 2

Wash the cast iron grill pan in warm water with just a drop of dishwashing liquid. Any more detergent and your grill pan will continue to stick every time it is used.

    • 3

Use a stiff brush to get rid of cooked on foods. Non-scratch scrubbing pads also work well.

    • 4

Dry the grill pan immediately with a towel. Put it on a hot burner for five minutes and then turn off the heat. Wipe it down with high heat resistant oil and allow the grill pan to air dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can buy grill pans made from other materials, but cast iron makes a great pan.

  • Avoid using steel wool pads. They scratch the surface and damage the grill pan.
