Everyone has looked at people like Bill Gates and wondered what they can do to become richer. The truth is that everyone, no matter their age or income level, can become richer and more successful. The key is to eliminate fear and doubt and go for what you truly want in life. That, coupled with smart money management, will help you become richer in no time.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Educate yourself. While it's true that some self-made millionaires don't have more than a basic education, the fact remains that a quality education is one of the best investments you can make. Make it your goal to learn something new every day, which can help you both financially and emotionally.
Step2
Keep your eye on the prize. Create a five-, 10- and 20-year plan for yourself. Decide whether you want to pay off your home early, buy a new car or put your kids through college. Whatever you want to accomplish, set your mind to it and then write it down on paper. Stick it on the wall, and refer back to it often.
Step3
Learn how to invest. Smart money managers know how to make their money work for them. Learn the basics of compound interest, and seek help finding the right investments for your situation.
Step4
Become debt-free. The less debt you have, the more money you have to invest. So pay your house off early, and avoid using credit cards whenever possible.
Step5
Stay healthy and happy. There's no point to being rich if you spend your days sick and miserable, so make sure to take time every day to exercise and spend time with the ones you love.
