Step 1
Cut it shorter. If your hair is long enough that you can get more cut off to fix it, get it cut again. See a different stylist if the first bad cut made you lose confidence in that stylist. Otherwise, go back to the person who gave you the bad cut and have her give you a free, second cut.
-
Step 2
Wash and restyle it yourself. Sometimes it isn't the haircut that is bad, but the way the hairdresser styled it. Spend some time trying different styles, and you might find that you like your new haircut after all.
-
Step 3
Cover it. If it's winter, wear a hat or a scarf. In the summer, try a baseball cap or a dressy lightweight scarf. You could even buy a wig to wear until your bad haircut grows out.
-
Step 4
Remind yourself it is only temporary. The one good thing about a bad haircut is it doesn't last forever. Within a few weeks you will notice that your cut has grown enough to go for a new cut.
-
Step 5
Pretend to love it. Chances are your friends will not laugh if they think you are happy with your haircut.
-
Step 6
Put a smile on your face and laugh at yourself. Take it in stride and don't any jibes personally. Remember: Your friends aren't laughing at you, they are laughing at the person who cut your hair.

But once they are done with your hair, you will be left with at least several of the mishaps mentioned in the above article, on purpose. We need to join force and boycott salons by cutting our own hair. These people are making a *****GOOD**** living taking their anger out on your hair.
