How to Rent a Water Slide

Water slides are a sure fire hit at any event when the temperatures start to rise. With slides that vary from a backyard inflatable to a theme park attraction, you may be hard-pressed to choose a rental.

Instructions

1. On your invitations, tell parents to bring swimming gear, towels and a change of clothes. Measure the dimensions of your yard or party space to find the exact size of the slide you can accommodate.

2. Involve your child in the selection process by giving him a range of options to choose from that are within your budget and size parameters. You can choose from dual slides or even small versions of rapids for large-scale events. Smaller parties can use a themed slide, such as pirates or dolphins, to increase appeal.

3. Find out the cost of extra warranties or waivers for any wear and tear. Weigh these prices against the cost of replacing or repairing the slide. Ask for details of the water supply and hoses in case you need to supply anything.

4. Arrange the delivery as much in advance as possible so everything is set up when the guests arrive. For rentals by the hour, plan for the water slides to arrive at least 30 minutes before the party and to have them at least 30 minutes after the party ends.

5. Put down waterproof material in all the areas of your house that the kids will enter. Designate out of bounds areas with locks or signs. Supply extra towels and dryers.
