Step 1
Ask friends or family members to join the club. Recruit additional members by posting flyers at craft, art supply, rubber stamp or scrapbooking stores.
-
Step 2
Determine how often you'll meet and set up a list of locations. Print a calendar with addresses and phone numbers so members can contact one another.
-
Step 3
Decide if everyone will bring their own paper and supplies to each meeting or if the host will supply the necessities. If members are buying the items, compile a list of upcoming projects so they can plan.
-
Step 4
Search Origami books and paper-crafting magazines or look online to get ideas for group projects. If the members are more advanced, find ways to incorporate completed Origami shapes with other objects like handmade greeting cards, gift tags or jewelry.
-
Step 5
Rotate so each member has a turn to lead the group and teach a project. Invite guests like teachers from local craft shops or groups of children who want to learn simple folding techniques.
-
Step 6
Serve refreshments, but be sure to enjoy them after you've created the designated project. You don't want to have sticky, greasy fingers while you're paper folding.
