How to Use a Hand-Free Baby Bottle

The hands-free baby bottle allows a parent to hold a baby in an upright position, without having to hold the bottle horizontally. Hand-free bottles are cheap and easy to use.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Assemble your hands-free bottle using the enclosed directions. Make sure you've connected the top of the long tubing to the bottom of the adaptor, and the disk fits inside the second cap ring and the bottom of the tubing.
Step2
Pour your breast milk or formula into the bottle. Until your baby is older, start with small amounts of fluid so nothing is wasted. If your baby drinks the whole bottle, you can always give them more. Once your baby is done eating, throw out any leftover formula or breast milk.
Step3
Sit your baby upright in a baby carrier, stroller or on your lap. Whenever you give your baby a bottle, make sure the infant is upright to prevent choking, stress and ear infections.
Step4
Squeeze the nipple until milk comes out so your baby gets milk at the first sip and doesn't inhale too much air.
Step5
Clean the hands-free bottle thoroughly after each use. Use the tube cleaning brush enclosed with the bottle to make sure the tube is completely clean.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never reuse formula or breastmilk once your baby has sucked on the bottle.
