The wedding day is a special one the bride has thought long about, and prepared months in advance for. The dress, hair, makeup and vows all make the special day more meaningful, but so do the flowers. Having a wedding bouquet that fits into the whole theme of the wedding makes for another lasting memory.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose the main flower you're going to develop your bouquet around. Whether you choose fresh flowers or fake flowers from a local craft store, there are numerous colors and styles to choose from. Deciding on one flower is essential to start the process.

  2. Step 2

Find floral accessories that coordinate your bouquet. Lavender, Eucalyptus or Baby's Breath are three popular options to turn to when adding items to spice up your entire bouquet.

  3. Step 3

Wrap your bouquet with a floral tape and secure tightly. The bouquet is going to have to withstand a lot on the wedding day, so making sure it is secure is very important. Wrap the entire base of the bouquet in green floral tape to have a solid base for the bride to hold onto.

  4. Step 4

Add a decorative ribbon to disguise the floral tape and give style to the bouquet. Use a colored ribbon that attracts to the colors of the flowers, but still stands alone to add personality to the bouquet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Fake flowers are a great alternative to wedding bouquets and allow the bride to keep the bouquet long after the special day.
  • To prevent wilting or discoloring of fresh flowers, make the bouquet as close to the day of the wedding as possible and follow the storage temperature directions.
