How to Clean the Skin for Ultrasound Facials

Ultrasound facials can reduce wrinkles, help skin care products work better, increases skin elasticity and improve skin tone and texture. They may help your skin look younger. However, in order to get the most benefits from an ultrasound facial you have to prepare your skin. Natural oils on the skin can actually harm your ultrasound machine, so before doing an ultrasound facial, you'll need to clean the skin.

Instructions

1. Pull the hair back from the face and tie it off so you don't get product into the hair.

2. Choose a cleansing product designed for removing oil from the skin.

3. Squeeze a hefty portion of the product into your hands and emulsify it. Basically, rub your hands together so the cleanser is evenly spread across your hands.

4. Rub the cleanser into your skin using a circular motion. Make sure you get around the nose, under the chin and into the hairline. Do this for at least 30 seconds to remove as much oil from the skin as possible.

5. Rinse off the cleanser using warm water or a hot steam towel. Make sure you get rid of all the cleanser, especially from around the nose and hairlines, before starting the ultrasound facial.

• Check with your care provider before getting an ultrasound facial. Some people shouldn't get one, especially pregnant women and people with pace makers.
