Things You'll Need:
- Large, soft exercise mat
-
Step 1
Give Thai massage while on the ground as it is traditionally practiced. Use a large, soft exercise mat that will provide support and protection for both you and your client. The mat should be large enough that your client can rest in the center and you can move freely around their body without leaving the mat.
-
Step 2
Begin with the client resting face down on the mat. Stand at their feet and lift the legs with bent knees, holding onto the soles of their feet. Bring the feet together, leaving the knees spaced slightly apart and walk forward, pressing the heels towards the buttocks.
-
Step 3
Walk up the sides of the client's body and then gently sit down onto the soles of your clients feet, like a chair. Lean forward and press the palms of your hands into their back. Keep your palms together with your fingers spread and work up and down the spine.
-
Step 4
Press your thumbs into either side of the spine and continue up the back to the neck and back down again. Complete the Thai massage on their back and then reach between your legs to grasp their ankles. Walk backwards and gently rest their feet on the floor.
