Step 1
Begin the Pink Panther tap dance step by doing a "chug-chug" move, starting with your right foot. Do the "chugs" by dragging your feet forward while putting weight on your heels. It should sound like this: "chug-CHUG, chug-CHUG." There will be four chugs in all.
-
Step 2
Follow the four chugs by doing five flaps, starting with your right foot. These should sound light in comparison to your chugs. The flaps are different from shuffles, as you will be putting your weight on your foot after scuffing your toe forward and back on the ground.
-
Step 3
Do four more chugs.
-
Step 4
Flap five more times, starting with your right foot.
-
Step 5
Chug four more times, and follow it by only two flaps.
-
Step 6
Repeat step five.
-
Step 7
End the Pink Panther dance steps by doing two pas de bouerrées, then shuffle with the right foot, hop with the left foot and step with the right foot.
-
Step 8
Shuffle with the left foot, hop with the right foot and step with the left foot, then stop. You can repeat the above steps to continue the Pink Panther tap step as many times as you like.
-
Step 1
Begin the pas de bouerré by flapping forward with your right foot.
-
Step 2
Put your left toe behind your right foot, and step to the right with your right foot while putting weight on it, but not placing your heel on the ground.
-
Step 3
Shuffle forward with your left foot.
-
Step 4
Place your right toe behind your left foot and step left with your left foot while putting weight on it without your heel on the ground.
-
Step 5
Give the pas de bouerré some syncopation by rocking back quickly on your toe. The pas de bouerré has roots in folk dancing, so give it some lightness.
