Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Fill a plastic tub with warm water. Choose an electric foot spa if you want bubble action or built-in massage pads for your feet.

  2. Step 2

Add Epsom salt to the water, as well as your favorite scented oil for a more relaxing, spa-like pedicure experience.

  3. Step 3

Place your feet in the water and soak for at least fifteen minutes. Soaking your feet as long as possible helps you easily remove the dead skin later.

  4. Step 4

Remove one foot from the water and leave the other to soak. Rub a pumice stone on the bottom of your foot, concentrating on the roughest areas. Foot files also work well for removing dead skin. Try both to see what works best for you.

  5. Step 5

Place the foot you just scrubbed back into the water and repeat Step 4 on the opposite foot.

  6. Step 6

Remove your feet from the water and gently pat them dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make the most of your soaking time during your pedicure by catching up on a good book or reading your favorite magazine. The longer your feet soak, the softer they feel.
  • Never use a pumice stone on the tops of your feet. Focus on the heel, big toe and ball of your foot.
