If you have the desire to have a modeling career, you'll need to do more than simply be a pretty face. You will need to build a modeling resume. A resume can get you noticed by modeling agencies and talent scouts and help you get your foot in doors that otherwise might not have been opened to you.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Utilize the standard one-page resume format. List your most relevant information, such as modeling experience, training and education.

  2. Step 2

Include personal information regarding your height, weight, clothes and shoe sizes, body measurements, eye and hair color and any other physical characteristics.

  3. Step 3

Attach a headshot of yourself. Ideally, most modeling resumes are on the back of an 8 by 10 inch headshot photograph. It is best to use the services of a professional photographer for this important photo.

  4. Step 4

Update your modeling resume as you gain more experience. List most recent print ads, TV commercials, fashion shows, and even mall shows or department store runway shows. Keep the resume to one page by removing any older jobs or unrelated training.

  5. Step 5

List any special skills, abilities, hobbies or talents you have. For instance, if you sing or juggle or act, include this information. This might lead to opportunities if one of your special skills is needed for a particular job.

Tips & Warnings
  • Building a modeling resume takes time. If you do not have a lot of modeling experience to include, list non-modeling jobs that will show your work ethic and dependability until you gain enough experience to list more modeling jobs.
