Piñatas are fun and easy to make. Many people enjoy making piñatas with their children for birthday parties or other special occasions. One of the most entertaining steps in making a piñata is decorating. Tissue paper is a great, versatile decoration for a piñata.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Piñata made from a balloon
  • Tissue paper in various colors
  • White glue
  • Damp cloth
  1. Step 1

Tear the tissue paper into strips about three to four inches wide.

  2. Step 2

Apply a thin layer of white glue to the paper piñata. Take care to use the right amount of glue because too much can leak through the tissue paper.

  3. Step 3

Place the strips of tissue paper around the paper piñata in the design and shape that you like. Lay the tissue paper strips so that they overlap one another. Do this until your piñata is completely covered.

  4. Step 4

Allow the piñata to dry over night. Make sure the tissue paper covering is completely dry before you add other decorations or adornments.

  5. Step 5

Clean the area where you made the piñata. Make sure you pick up all of the scraps of tissue papers and clean any glue that may have dripped using the damp cloth. This step is especially important if you are making more than one piñata on the same table.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wash your hands frequently while placing the tissue paper. This will help prevent the tissue paper from sticking to your hands.
