Step 1
Think of the two-knee kneel as a temporary position. While it does provide good stability, it slows you down when you are transitioning to a new position or a new bunker. When you do use this position, keep your elbows tucked in and your feet beneath your butt.
-
Step 2
Sit in the one-knee kneel with your support knee closest to the bunker. Remember to keep your other leg tucked with your foot under your butt. Play tight to the bunker.
-
Step 3
Stand up to get the best mobility. After all, standing is the most commonly used paintball stance. Just remember to use all sides of the bunker when taking shots at other players, rather than tunneling your vision.
-
Step 4
Develop a stance that works well with your team's style of play, as Dynasty did. This team uses the power stance, where the legs are splayed and weight balanced to take off in any direction with no notice.
-
Step 5
Use the crawl or snake to stay as close to the ground as you can. This stance is essentially the army crawl. This is particularly useful for playing outdoors when you want to move through brush undetected.
-
Step 6
Combine all of these stances and use them at appropriate times during play. Have your teammates practice with you and trade evaluations in order to improve technique.
