The popular magician and entertainer Uri Geller spent decades awing the world with his ability to bend spoons with mind. It turns out that the trick is a simple but well thought out ruse that can fool any audience if it's done with a little bit of magic know-how and some entertainment finesse.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Place two spoons on a table in front of you. Give some background on the power of the mind and tell your audience that you have two identical spoons to use for the spoon bending trick, one that you will bend and one that you will show as a sample spoon.
Step2
Hold a spoon in each of your hands. As you pass one spoon to the audience for inspection, hold the other spoon close to the bowl of the spoon. Place your thumb in the bowl of the spoon and as your other hand crosses your body to pass the sample spoon to an audience member, apply pressure to the bowl of the spoon and bend it about 30 degrees.
Step3
Raise the already bent spoon in front of you with the bowl facing out and immediately start swinging the spoon back and forth while you explain to the audience that you are going to concentrate on bending the spoon with your mind. After a few seconds of concentration start to slow the swinging down and then let the spoon slowly fall in the direction that it's bent in to make it look as if it's drooping downward.
Step4
Show the spoon to the audience to prove that the spoon is actually physically bent and make a statement about how that spoon bending was one of the most "powerful" demonstrations of the trick that you've ever done.
