Step 1
Go to a retailer that sells or rents kiteboarding equipment. One of the sales associates can help you pick out all the equipment that you need. If you are shopping for equipment online, check out the SBC Kiteboard website.
-
Step 2
Find a land board to use when kiteboarding. A land board looks similar to a surfboard or snowboard. The main difference is that there are inflatable tires on it. You might want a larger and wider board if you are just starting out.
-
Step 3
Pick a small kite to use when kite land boarding. When you are learning the basics of kiteboarding, a smaller kite helps you grow accustomed to the activity. Also, a smaller kite is better to us in a every strong wind.
-
Step 4
Get a harness to use with the kite. You attach the kite using the lines that come along with the harness.
-
Step 5
Bring along your additional accessories. You need a pump to inflate the tires and a wind meter to measure the wind speed.
