Stretching and exercise is very important to our health and flexibility. By doing various exercises, we can become leaner and more limber. Sometimes we can use parts of our bodies that we may not even think of in order to increase flexibility and movement. By exercising our buttocks, we can build up body flexibility and become stronger throughout our bodies. Learn how to increase your flexibility with buttock exercises.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get your workout gear on. Wear comfortable clothing that can provide you with flexibility. Jogging pants, spandex or any other type of stretchy clothing will help you exercise easily.

  2. Step 2

Make sure you have a comfortable floor mat so that you can avoid discomfort and joint pain. Buy a floor mat that is at least 3 inches thick so you can feel a bit of cushion underneath your buttocks.

  3. Step 3

Place yourself on the floor mat and lie down flat on your back. Extend your legs outward and your arms should be at your sides. Stretch your body out as long as you can.

  4. Step 4

Start increasing your flexibility by grabbing one of your legs and bringing it towards you and towards your chest. Squeeze your knee and leg tightly into your chest.

  5. Step 5

Hold the stretch for 15 seconds and breathe in effectively. Breathing is very important while stretching because it keeps you focused and calm as you stretch out your muscles.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't pull on your leg too hard when you stretch; you might pull your hamstring or another muscle.
