Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Organize a regular cleaning routine. Prepare a list that shows all cleaning to be done regularly and occasionally. Divide tasks up between household members so no one person is left with all of the responsibility.
Step2
Allow adequate time for cleaning. Whether cleaning is done periodically throughout the day or on a scheduled day, you need to make sure enough time is available to do the tasks or they might not get done at all.
Step3
Prepare a cleaning bucket that holds all cleaning supplies and is carried easily to each room. Basic cleaning supplies include gloves, trash bags, micro-cleaning fibers to dust, dusting spray or furniture polish, glass spray, all-purpose cleaner or wipes, bathroom cleaner, a disinfectant like bleach, a sponge, paper towels and a scrub brush.
Step4
Handle the harder rooms that require the most work first. You have more energy early on and, once those rooms have been completed, you get a feeling of accomplishment that sees you through when you begin to feel tired.
Step5
Reward yourself when you come up with a cleaning regimen that works.
