You can finish your hemp jewelry a few different ways, but adding a bead that your loop can hook around is the easiest and most popular method. Ending with a pretty bead is a way to give your piece a personal touch.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Finish the final knot on your hemp bracelet. If you typically have difficulty with this step, consider securing the bracelet with a clamp or pin it into place while you finish it off.

  2. Step 2

Gather up the loose hemp strands and cut them so you're working with a uniform length.

  3. Step 3

Apply beeswax to the ends so they are easier to work with. Do this by simply rubbing the ends across the beeswax once or twice.

  4. Step 4

Slide the waxed strands through your ending bead.

  5. Step 5

Push the bead into position and tie a simple knot as close as possible to the bottom of the bead. Tighten the knot to secure the bead in position. This is critical to ensure that the knots on your hemp jewelry don't come loose.

  6. Step 6

Cut off the ends of the strands, being careful not to cut too closely to the knot.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you cut into to the knot that keeps the ending bead in place, the bead could fall off. After that, the knots on your hemp jewelry would come undone.
