1
Wash the area where you will remove the hair with hot water to open the pores and make the hair removal smoother.
-
2
Test the hair removal cream on your skin somewhere that can be hidden if it doesn't work. If the skin turns red and bumpy, don't put it on your face or tender pubic regions.
-
-
3
Blot the hair removal cream on the hairy part of your body that you want to make smooth. Don't rub it in, as most depilatories use harsh chemicals that must be handled gently. Use a spatula, usually provided in the box with your product.
-
4
Wash your hands immediately after applying the hair removal cream. This stuff can really burn your eyes if you forget and rub them while some of the cream is still on your fingers.
-
5
Leave the cream on the hairy spots for no longer than 12 minutes, less if the instructions on your product say so. Do your very best not to rub or scratch the spot, even though it will feel itchy. The product will work best if left to do its job with no interference.
-
6
Rub the cream off with a cool wet washrag or cotton pad. Rub in the direction that the hair grows. Smooth in some cooling lotion to take out the sting and keep the redness down.
