Step 1
Start with a clean and moisturized face. Put on foundation as you normally do. Apply concealer as needed.
-
Step 2
Use an eyebrow brush to groom your eyebrows. Tweeze any stray hairs. Apply eyebrow pencil in light, feathery strokes. The pencil should be close to your natural eyebrow color.
-
Step 3
Choose two coordinating eye shadow colors. Cover your entire eyelid from the lashes to the eyebrow with a light to medium colored eye shadow.
-
Step 4
Select a darker color to use in the crease of your eye and the outer third of your eyelid. Blend the colors well with your finger.
-
Step 5
Try a variety of color combinations. You can even add a third, medium color to apply from the middle of your eyelid to the brow bone. Or smudge a little under the outside of your lower lash line.
-
Step 6
Apply eyeliner. Choose a dark color that complements your eyes or choose black or brown. Start at the outer corner of the eyelid and work your way in. Do the same with the lower lash line. Smudge the eyeliner with your fingertip to give a smoky effect.
-
Step 7
Curl your eyelashes with a good eyelash curler. Apply at least two thin coats of smudge-proof mascara. Black mascara is popular for its dramatic effect, but you can try other colors such as brown-black or midnight blue for your eye makeup as well.
