Once you've mastered the basic diabolo throws, you're ready to try the diabolo full suicide throw. A suicide throw is a trick that involves letting go of one stick and swinging the diabolo around the remaining stick. Be patient, because this trick will take patience and persistence to master.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use your method of choice to start the diabolo spinning at a moderate speed. If it spins too fast, it will be nearly impossible to control.

  2. Step 2

Swing the diabolo to your left with the ends of the stick close together. Let the diabolo swing up, and when it gets to about the twelve o'clock position in the circle, let go of the right stick.

  3. Step 3

Allow the stick to swing in a big circle, and prepare to catch it by turning your right hand in an open fist with your thumb up. Catch the stick at about the three o'clock position and reposition your hand so the stick is back in the proper position.

  4. Step 4

Proceed with another trick, or take a big bow.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that the string isn't too long, because you won't be able to pull it taut enough. If the string touches the ground when you hold the stick at waist height, it should be shortened.
  • When you are learning the full suicide, it's best to practice on soft ground. The sticks will be moving very rapidly, and they can be broken in half if they land on a hard surface like concrete.
