The over the arm diabolo juggling trick is a fairly difficult trick. However, it's important to be proficient at the over the arm trick before you are ready to move on to even more difficult tricks. Be patient, keep practicing and you'll soon have it mastered.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Set the diabolo spinning by rolling it on the ground from side to side. Start slowly and gradually build up speed until the diabolo is moving very fast. Keep the speed as you lift the diabolo.

  2. Step 2

Twist the stick so that your arm goes inside the string, with the string about at your bicep.

  3. Step 3

Center yourself behind the diabolo and keep it spinning very fast with your arm still inside.

  4. Step 4

Hold the sticks in a parallel position and toss the diabolo in a slight arch over your left arm. Catch it on your left side.

  5. Step 5

Keep the diabolo at a fast spin and again put your arm inside the string. Use your left arm to toss the diabolo in a slight arch over your right arm. Continue tossing the diabolo from one side to the other as long as you want.

Tips & Warnings
  • Until you've mastered the over the arm trick, it's a good idea to practice outdoors, away from buildings. The diabolo is heavy enough to damage to houses and vehicles, including breaking windows.
  • While you're practicing, be sure that any bystanders stand well out of the way. Diabolos travel very fast.
