Some people are born with highly defined cheekbones that stand out no matter what makeup they wear. Others need a little more help achieving the look. No matter what your situation, you can learn to define your cheekbones with makeup.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Begin any beauty regimen with a good face wash and lotion. Keep your skin hydrated and clean to help lay the foundation for healthy skin that can naturally take makeup well.

  2. Step 2

Suck in your cheeks and look into a mirror to better see your cheekbones. Using a large makeup brush, apply a light bronzer powder in a sweeping motion directly below your cheekbones.

  3. Step 3

Start at the apples of your cheeks, near your nose, and lightly sweep the powder up toward your temples and hairline, creating an illusion of a shadow below your cheekbones.

  4. Step 4

Smile into the mirror to further define the apples of your cheeks and apply a light pink or rose blush in a circular motion to help them stand out against the bronzer.

  5. Step 5

Add a light shimmer for an extra glow. Apply a cream highlighting shimmer with your fingers or makeup sponge or a powder with a blush brush. Put this only on the apples of your cheeks and be careful not to add too much--a little goes a long way here.

  6. Step 6

Finish your makeup routine and touch up anything that you may have missed or smudged. Smile again to check the finished result and you're ready for your day.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask a professional makeup artist or counter worker for the best colors for your face if you're unsure which to use.
