If you have dark circles, puffiness, broken capillaries or pimples, concealer is a great way to camouflage these blemishes. It is especially effective in covering up under-eye circles. Here's how to apply concealer beneath the eyes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Tilt your chin downward and look upward into the mirror. This helps you detect the edges of the shadows beneath your eyes.

  2. Step 2

Put a small dot of concealer on your index finger and place four dots of concealer along the curve of the shadows' edge. Place the first one below the inner corner of eye and the last one parallel to the iris.

  3. Step 3

Blend in the concealer all the way to the edge of your lashes. Do this gently, taking care not to drag the delicate under-eye skin. Start at outside corners of eyes moving inward, and then back again.

  4. Step 4

Apply a loose power over the damp concealer to seal it in.

  5. Step 5

Perform the "smile" test. Smile hard into the mirror, checking to see if the concealer is on too heavy or if it settles into fine lines. If so, use a light touch and a cotton ball to remove the excess.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always begin with less concealer than you think you need. The goal is to use as little concealer as possible and you can always add more.
  • Blend, blend, blend for a flawless finish.
  • Using your index finger to apply concealer works better than a concealer brush, because the warmth helps blend the concealer in better.
