Instructions

    • 1

Determine how many wooden clothespins you need. Paint each clothespin white and set it aside to dry.

    • 2

Get a package of small, wooden spools used for crafts. Remove one spool for each clothespin you have painted. Paint the wooden spools black.

    • 3

Glue a small square of black felt to the top of the clothespin. This forms the brim of the snowman's hat. Take a painted spool and glue it to the felt, to finish the snowman's hat.

    • 4

Take a 3-inch piece of red yarn, and a 3-inch piece of green yarn, and twist them together. Wrap the yarn around the clothespin where the round top meets the long piece to create the snowman's scarf.

    • 5

Use a medium-point black felt marker to draw a face and button dots on the snowman.

    • 6

Obtain a 3-inch piece of gold cord and make a loop. Glue the ends to the back of the snowman's neck so you can hang your snowman from your Christmas tree.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't have yarn, you can also use thin ribbon to make a decorative scarf.
