A Christmas tablescape is an easy way to decorate for the holidays. There are many types of tablescapes. There are bright, festive tablescapes and there are complicated and intricate tablescapes, both of which are great for holiday decoration.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Select a tablecloth in a color that complements the kitchen or dining room décor. Go to a party store to find Christmas tablecloths, centerpieces and other decorations.

  2. Step 2

Use one small square mirror and one slightly large round mirror as the base for the Christmas tablescape. Place these at the halfway point of the table.

  3. Step 3

Place varying sizes of toy reindeer on top of the mirrors. Use miniature Christmas trees, snow globes and other holiday decorations throughout the tablescape scene.

  4. Step 4

Decorate the rest of the room to complement the Christmas tablescape. Add a few Christmas figurines on other surfaces or some decorative holiday throw pillows on a couch or chair.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not decorate more than 1/3 of the table, as it will look too cluttered and people will not be able to make use of the table without destroying the beautiful Christmas tablescape.
  • Try decorating a coffee table for the holidays.
  • If any candles are used, be sure not to place them near anything flammable or leave them unattended.
  • Try placing a small toy Santa Claus atop one of the reindeer to add a touch of whimsy.
