Instructions

    • 1

Use a filled icing bag to put a small circle of icing on the top of the flower icing nail. Place a small square of parchment paper on the icing.

    • 2

Put the number 12 tip on the icing bag. Form the base of the rose by squeezing a large dot of icing in the center of the nail. Begin releasing the pressure on the bag, and lift it straight up to make a smaller center. Stop squeezing the bag, and pull it straight up again to finish the base.

    • 3

Change the tip of the icing bag to the petal tip. Place the large part of the tip half way up the rose base. Squeeze the icing bag, slowly turn the nail, and move the frosting bag up. Then move it down to form the center of the rose.

    • 4

Make 3 rose petals in the center of the rose. Place the tip in the same position. Squeeze the bag, and then move the tip down quickly to form the first petal. Make 2 more.

    • 5

Form four to five more petals to make the center of the rose. Make them the same as the previous rose petals.

    • 6

Create six to seven larger petals for the outer part of the rose. Form these petals starting at the bottom of the rose base. Hold the tip at an angle to make the petals bigger.

    • 7

Slide the parchment paper off the nail. Let the rose dry before taking it off of the parchment and placing it on the cake.
