The beer bong is one of the few objects that college students and other beer lovers consider absolutely essential. The beer bong, sometimes called "the funnel," allows for a fast jolt of foamless beer to shoot from the can straight down the hatch. Build a simple but sturdy beer bong.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Funnel with 1/2 inch spout
  • 2 feet of vinyl tubing with 5/8 inch diameter
  • Plastic valve with 1/2 inch diameter
  1. Step 1

Take a funnel with a 1/2 inch diameter spout and a 2 foot piece of vinyl tubing with a 5/8 inch diameter. Insert the funnel's spout into the tubing and make sure the fit is snug, air tight and water tight. If there's a little movement between the 2 pieces put a strip of duct tape around the connection.

  2. Step 2

Insert 1 end of a small plastic garden valve that has a 1/2 inch diameter into the free end of the vinyl tubing. Close the valve and pour a cup of water into the funnel and let it drain down to the valve to see if the connection between the tubing and the valve is air tight.

  3. Step 3

Run a few rounds of mildly soapy water through the beer bong, letting the first round or two sit in the vinyl tubing (by closing the valve) for a few minutes to clean the tubing and valve from any harmful substances. Wash a few cups of clean water through the beer bong and then test it with the real deal.
