Multiplex juggling is a multi-ball juggling method where 1 hand throws more than 1 ball at the same time. There are 2 kinds of multiplex juggling. Use the vertical method to keep both balls together after you toss them in the air, and the horizontal method if you want the balls to travel a separate path.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

    Vertical Multiplex

  1. Step 1

Begin by holding 2 balls vertically in your dominant hand, so that they are lined up from wrist to fingertips. Hold your arm bent at the elbow with your fingers pointed toward the ceiling.

  2. Step 2

Toss them lightly into the air, letting go of both balls at the same time. If you do this correctly, the balls will stay together in the air.

  3. Step 3

Practice catching them in 1 hand. Alternate so you're equally skilled with both hands.

  4. Horizontal Multiplex

  5. Step 1

Hold 2 balls side by side across your palm. Hold your arm bent at the elbow with your lower arm horizontal to the ground.

  6. Step 2

Throw them both into the air at the same time. The balls will separate in the air.

  7. Step 3

Catch 1 ball in each hand to complete this multi-ball juggling technique.

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice this multi-ball juggling method with both hands so you can juggle in any direction. You want to be able to throw from both hands as well as catch with both hands.
  • Start by juggling over a bed. The softness of the bed prevents the balls from rolling away and the height of the bed eliminates the constant bending down to retrieve fallen balls.
