Taekwondo is a Korean martial art known for its spectacular kicks. A front snap kick and a side kick combination is an advanced move in taekwondo. This combination consists of 2 basic kicks, delivered in rapid, fluid succession. The first move is to fake-out your opponent so that you can strike with the second one as he counters the first.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take a fighting stance by placing your right leg behind and to the side of your left leg. Your right foot will be at about a 45-degree angle. Always keep your fists up to guard your face in taekwondo.

  2. Step 2

Begin this combination kick with a front kick off your back leg (right). Bring your knee up a little higher than your target, and then extend your leg out. You will be striking with the ball of your foot, keeping your toes pulled back.

  3. Step 3

Switch sides as you bring your leg back from the front kick and deliver a mid-air, turning side kick with your other leg.

  4. Step 4

Deliver the turning side kick by turning your hips as you bring your right leg back and strike your opponent's midsection by extending your left leg out.

  5. Step 5

Practice this combination until you are able to "hop" from the front kick into the turning side kick rapidly.
