Window tinting is a highly desired after-market option for many drivers. It is best to have it done by a window tinting professional, but can be done at home with the right tools, patience and skills. The slide swiper window tint tool is one of the essential tools you will need to complete the job correctly.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Understand the benefits of window tinting your car. The tint can help prevent break in by not allowing people to see inside your car as well as keeping the window from shattering. Since window tint blocks UV rays, it keeps your car cooler in the summer, which is more comfortable for you and helps your interior last longer.

  2. Step 2

Familiarize yourself with the side swiper. It is a tool that closely resembles a rubber window squeegee. It has a rounded plastic handle with plastic tip and a rubber insert. The rubber is flexible, but strong, and is used for pushing out the bubbles in window tinting.

  3. Step 3

Use the tool with a soap solution to smooth the tint out on the window and push the bubbles out from underneath the tinting. This tool reaches to the corners and ends of the tint. It can also be used on the inside of the back window and on difficult windows, such as hatchbacks and deep large rear windows.

  4. Step 4

Clean the rubber tip after each application. It can pick up debris or sand, which will scratch the next tinting application you use it with. You can clean it easily with hot, soapy water and a rag to wipe it thoroughly. If the rubber insert comes out easily, consider taking it out to clean and cleaning the area to keep grit off of it.
