Step 1
Familiarize yourself with the Guitar Hero game before starting to learn a new song on your own guitar. This is a good way to learn the song so you are very familiar with it and can sing the tune easily.
-
Step 2
Place your hand up past the twelfth fret. Everything in the riff will be done there. To start, pad the twelfth fret of the D string and the twelfth fret of the G string with 1 finger. Form a D chord with your middle finger on the fourteenth fret and your ring finger on the fifteenth fret.
-
Step 3
Lift your middle finger off to reveal the pad on the twelfth fret and put it back down. Move your middle finger to the fifteenth fret of high E, then fourteenth fret of G, fourteenth fret of E string, and fourteenth fret of G. Go over this riff a couple of times before continuing on.

Step 4
Start the next section by keeping your index finger on the twelfth fret of the D string and go through the same sequence as in Step 3. Simplify it a little by placing your fingers on the twelfth fret of the G string and the fifteenth fret of the B string and going through the sequence again.
