You're sadly mistaken if you think moisturizing the skin is only essential for women. It is just as important to moisturize a man's facial skin. If you don't moisturize your skin, you'll have dry and flaky skin due to exposure to harsh environmental elements.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose a moisturizer that works well on male skin, which has a tendency to be rougher. Try the Clinique for Men line or Vichy's moisturizer. Ideally the moisturizer should provide SPF protection as well.

  2. Step 2

Clean your face. Before applying a moisturizer, you should have washed your face with a facial cleanser and dried it.

  3. Step 3

Apply a liberal amount of moisturizer to the skin. Massage the cream into the skin, starting at your forehead.

  4. Step 4

Continue applying the moisturizer to the rest of your face. Rub it into your cheeks as well as your nose. If you don't have facial hair, use the cream on your chin area.

  5. Step 5

Leave the moisturizer on your skin. After you have massaged until there is no residue left behind, leave your face alone.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can do other things to keep the skin from getting dry besides using a moisturizer. Limit your time out in the sun and drink plenty of water over the course of the day.
  • Don't use moisturizer over mustaches, beards or other facial hair. It won't help the area and will end up feeling gross.
