Step 1
Understand the basic sounds of jazz guitar and how different songs can sound, as opposed to an acoustic or electric guitar. The "Flintstones Theme" is a jazzy little number you can easily recreate with the right notes.
-
Step 2
Use the B flat major key. To determine what key it is in, look at the key signature. A B flat major scale contains two flats-a B flat note and an E flat note. This charts is in 4/4 time, which means each measure has four beats.
-
Step 3
Start with one major seventh chord. It progresses to your sixth chord, six minor seven, then to your two chord, C minor seven, to your five chord. That's the two, five, one chord progression, with a six turn in the middle.
-
Step 4
Play it through again. Playing four notes to a bar, B flat major seven, G minor seven, C minor seven, F seven. The two measure, four chord phrase repeats throughout the song. A big portion of the song is based on the chord progression: A, B, flat major seven, G minor seven, C minor seven, and F seven.
