Step 1
Tape and wire your filler flowers before adding them to the corsage. This makes it easier to add them to the larger, more prominent flowers that are already a part of the corsage. Cluster a few filler flowers together if you want, or keep some single filler flowers to add throughout the corsage.
-
Step 2
Bend the wire around each filler flower's base to secure it to the other flowers in the corsage. Securing each filler flower as you add it makes the corsage more secure and stable than trying to tie one wire around all the filler flowers.
-
Step 3
Distribute color evenly. Your filler flowers will be in colors that contrast or accent the larger flowers in the corsage. Accentuate these colors to the fullest by spreading filler flowers throughout the corsage evenly. Put some filler flowers behind the larger flowers and accent them with one or two flowers between or in front of them.
-
Step 4
Check the corsage's appearance periodically. Remember that someone will wear the finished corsage, so it's important that it look right when it's pinned to a dress or formal outfit. Hold up your corsage periodically while adding flowers and accents to make sure that the finished corsage will have the appearance and effect you desire once it's pinned in place.

Step 5
Secure all flowers with a bow, which adds a nice accent to the finished corsage, while also acting as a secret piece of construction that helps hold the whole corsage together throughout the course of the evening. Choose a ribbon the color of one of the flowers in the corsage and tie it tightly around the base of the corsage. Tie a nice bow in the front and use the length in the back to secure any extra wires from flowers that need to be held in place.
