Your wedding day menu is an important part of the celebration. The food brings everyone together and should be something that is enjoyed bu everyone there.

Things You'll Need:

  • Patience
  • Thoughts of your guests likes and dislikes
  • Variety
  1. Step 1

Although choosing the food that everyone likes can be a very hard thing to do. If you (like most) are on a set budget for your wedding day then you should try and select from the least expensive but still great tasting menu items.

Ask differnt caters that you are interested in hiring for your big day several questions. See what the price is for a buffet rather then a seated dinner. Get prices from a few different catering companies so that you can determine the one that is best suited or your pocket book. You will also want to go to the caterer and sample their entrees to make sure they are up to par for your reception guests.

  2. Step 2

Make sure that you find out all the fees and ask if the drinks are included with the food price. Make sure there are no hidden fees that you will find out at a later date. Find out the prices for an open bar or just serving wine and beer is less expensive.

  3. Step 3

If you are really on a tight budget then you can ask your close friends and family to help you make your own food. Perhaps you have a friend that is an exceptional cook. See if you can get them to cater your wedding with the help of your family for the cost of the food only. You can tell them that instead of purchasing a gift for you and your partner that that is the best gift they can give you. It will be a lot of work, but it can really save you alot of money.

  4. Step 4

nstead of having hired servers the buffet option is the best way to go. Or if you are having a seated dinner then opt for a few friends or relatives to help out in serving the food to your guests.

Depending where your wedding reception is find out what the cheapest and easiest way to cater is. If it is an outdoor wedding you can choose to have a barbecue.

  5. Step 5

Keep in mind your guests need and wants. If there are some vegetarian or vegans that are going to be attending your wedding then you want to make sure there is a few items that they can enjoy as well as everyone else. The best thing to do is choose a cater and have them work besides you in planning your wedding meal. Let them know your set budget and that you can not go over that amount. They can do all the dirty work for you while you plan other things for your big day.

Remember that this is a day to celebrate the love that you and your partner have for each other. So relax and enjoy the moment!
