Step1
Sign Up for a Writer’s AccountTo do this, go to the home page and click on the “For Writers” link. It’s a relatively crowded page. The link is located right below the IdeaMarketers log on the top left-hand side of the page.
It’s quick, easy and of course, free.
Step2
Go to Home PageOnce you’ve created your writer account, you will already be logged in. Go back to the home page and click on “Add Book.” This link will be found under the “Books/eBooks on IdeaMarketers” heading.
Step3
Upload EbookOnce you click on the “Add Book” link about, you will be taken to a page and directed to upload your ebook. Fill out the form there and click the “Add Link” button once you’ve entered all of your information.
NOTE: In the “Text describing your book/music” box on the form, be very choosy about the copy you enter here. Why? Because this is the sales copy readers will see when your ebook is live on the site. And, as you only have 25 words or less to entice them to buy, make it good!
Step4
Place Your BidOnce your ebook is in the system, it’s time to place your bid. Go back to the home page and click on “Bid for Promotion” under the “Books/eBooks on IdeaMarketers” heading mentioned above.
Here you will enter how much you want to bid, and for how long. Bids are placed in whole dollar amounts, and you bid in weekly increments.
NOTE: To advertise your ebook on the front page of IdeaMarketers.com, this is the make or break step. Whether or not your ebook will appear on the front page depends on how much you bid and in what category.
The current bid amounts are listed by category for you to see, so there’s no guessing as to how much you have to bid to get on the home page.
Step5
Pay for PlacementYou can pay via credit card, or via PayPal. Either way, once you place your bid, the computer will generate a confirmation number.
Write this down or print out this page because you will need it to activate your bid.
Conclusion: Ebook marketing doesn’t have to be expensive. I’ve advertised my ebook on the front page of IdeaMarketers.com for as little as $1 a week.
