I invite you to join me in taking part in a Handfasting ceremony! Handfasting is a Wiccaan celebration of marriage so Dress up and enter the party!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Flower Garlands for your hair
  • A Beautiful cotton or silk Dress
  • Claudaugh Irish Wedding Bands
  • A Wiccaan Band Orchestra

Step1
At a Handfasting Ceremony you will see how it is a traditional Wiccaan ceremony so we break the sacred circle with an Athame and walk down the aisle...If you are female you may choose to make a flower garland using thread to sew the flower middles together and wire to create the sturdy circle for the top of the head...
Step2
You will notice fellow Wiccaans at the ceremony wearing beautiful dresses or playing the wooden flute in the Wiccaan Orchestra...the melody is beautiful and spectacular...
Step3
Exchanging Vows at the Altar. At the altar you will meet a High Priestess or High Priest on the other side of two long-stemmed roses being crossed or two swords being crossed right above your head. The high priestess or priest will be wearing a traditional robe tyed together with string...on the altar are many, many white candles on a candelabra lit to promote peace and purity of the two getting married...
Step4
The rings. As a Wiccaan you may choose to have the Celtic rituals encorporuated such as the Irish wedding bands- Claudaughs~ Those are the type of ring that includes a crown shape over two hands holding it upwards but as you are handfasted the ring points downwards meaning you are indeed now taken...
Step5
Flowers and Rice may be found at this ceremony too, thrown at the ending of the ceremony...Flowers fill the aisle and altar, you may choose any colour flower such as the rose sending intensity and passion...You may also choose to have your honeymoon in nature since you had the ceremony outdoors...Camping out in the forest or in a beach are beautiful Wiccaan honeymoons to have...
