Things You'll Need:
- White spray paint
- Peat pots (available in gardening centers)
- Stickers or paints for designs
- Mod podge decoupage medium
- Small nail
- Silver wire
- Wire cutters
- Pencil
- Paint brush if using paints for designs
-
Step 1
Spray 2 coats of paint on the inside and outside of the peat pots and let dry.
-
Step 2
If you need a third coat to cover any remaining spots, paint it now and let it dry.
-
Step 3
Paste a sticker on the front center of the basket. If you'd rather paint your own design, you can do that too, using acrylic paints and a paint brush. Brush several coats of decoupage medium over the sticker or design and let dry.
-
Step 4
Use the nail to poke 2 holes on each side of the basket, about 1/2-inch below the basket's rim.
-
Step 5
Cut a length of wire about 12-inches long. Wind it several times around a pen or pencil, then place the ends of the wire through the holes, and bend up about 1/2-inch on each side to keep the wire in place.
-
Step 6
Fill your Easter basket with treats or use them as place markers on your Easter dinner table.
