From Quick Guide: Embroidery
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Choose a simple design, such as a basic flower, leaf, or other simple design.

  2. Step 2

Trace the design onto the stationery where you'd like it to be.

  3. Step 3

Use the darning needle to gently punch holes in the card where you want your stitches to be.

  4. Step 4

Thread your embroidery needle with 2 to 3 strands of embroidery floss.

  5. Step 5

Stitch the design with the embroidery floss, following the holes you made in the design.

  6. Step 6

Finish off your cards by running a straight running stitch around the edges of the card and the edge of the envelope.

  7. Step 7

Use these embellished cards for thank you notes, well wishes and anytime you'd like to send a very special message to a friend or loved one!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to completely cover the traced lines with floss, so they don't show through on your finished card.
