When transferring files and folders between your computer and a remote site in FrontPage 2003, you have three options. Transferring files from your computer to the remote site, transferring from the remote site to your computer or synchronizing the two, which means you will be transferring files both from your computer to the remote site and from the remote site to your computer. Therefore, any new or changed pages on either the remote site or the local site will be altered or updated. If any pages are identical on both the remote site and the local site the newer version (determined by the timestamp) will overwrite the older one. Keep in mind that when you transfer files from the remote web site to your computer, you run the risk of picking up any malicious files that may have been placed on the remote site. This How To assumes you are logged on to your remote site and ready to publish or synchronize your web site in Microsoft FrontPage 2003.
