Step1
This book will have one or two questions on every page, with room for your grandfather’s response to be entered directly below the question.
It’s fun to learn about your grandfather’s memories in a chronological fashion, so begin with the early parts of his life, progressing through school and marriage up to the current time.
Step3
Decorate each of the pages with stickers, drawings, photographs or other memorabilia. The more personal you can make the decorations, the more beautiful your Grandfather’s Remembrance Book will become.
Step4
While you can include any questions you’d like to pass down in your family, there are basics that everyone wants to know. Here are items that you should include in your Grandfather’s Remembrance Book:
The house I grew up in was ...
When I was a young child, the games I liked to play the most were...
My earliest memories of school were...
When I was in high school, my favorite subjects were (and why)...
I loved to listen to this type of music...
When I was a teenager, I loved to...
In college, I wanted to become...
How I met your Grandmother...
How I knew your Grandmother was “the one”...
All about our first date...
While we were dating, our favorite activity was...
How I proposed...
My favorite recipe that Grandmother makes is...
How I felt when our first child was born...
The one piece of advice that has helped me the most is...

on 3/26/2008 Great idea. I want to make a storybook/memory book about my husband's grandfather who passed away 2 years ago as a gift for him that he can then use to share stories about his grandfather with our kids.
