The perfect hairstyle for the wedding day is a great concern for all brides. Decisions must be made regarding the best hairstyle for the dress and veil. It's also vital to keep the bride comfortable for the wedding, pictures and the reception. Choose a stylist who specializes in weddings and work closely with her to achieve the perfect look.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Meet with the stylist at least twice before the big day. Take along the veil, tiara or other headware. Discuss the dress, jewelry, time of the wedding and the look to be achieved.

  2. Step 2

Consider a simple style that allows ease of movement and that will hold up throughout the ceremony and following festivities. Choose a style that is special and flattering while being comfortable.

  3. Step 3

Consider a versatile low ponytail style for medium to long hair. Start with clean hair and prep it with product to add body to make it easier to style.

  4. Step 4

Determine beforehand if the hair will be parted and where. Let the hair fall at the natural part or discuss with the stylist what kind of part would be most flattering.

  5. Step 5

Use a rat-tail brush and smooth the hair using just the edge of the bristles. Pull the hair back tightly to keep it smooth over the head. Use the wire of a back combing comb to smooth the hair.

  6. Step 6

Gather the hair with an elastic-coasted rubber band. Pull a section of hair from beneath the ponytail and wrap it around the rubber band to conceal it and make the ponytail more elegant.

  7. Step 7

Dress up the hair with jeweled combs or clips at the base of the ponytail. Work with the stylist to find the best way to secure the veil.
